Calling All Nurses
Flexible. Fulfilling. Supported. We understand your time is valuable. That’s why RWAV offers ENT specialists the opportunity to give back without disrupting their practice. Whether you’re available for one day, a few days, or something longer – every bit helps.
As a locum ENT, you can explore the best of Victoria – one placement at a time. From coastal towns to mountain communities, each region offers a warm welcome, a relaxed pace and the chance to connect with local culture and community.
You’re not relocating – you’re visiting. And every visit brings something new: rewarding clinical work, spectacular landscapes and time to enjoy connecting with people and place.
Come for a day or two – and discover why so many specialists keep coming back.
There’s no obligation. Just fill in a few details and we’ll be in touch to discuss how we can support you.

That’s completely fine. If now’s not the right time, we can keep you posted.
RWAV is a not-for-profit organisation supporting equitable access to healthcare in regional Victoria.
What kind of cases will I see?
You may support a range of presentations, from general ENT to post-surgical care, depending on location and need.
Can I choose when and where I work?
Absolutely. We match you with opportunities based on your availability and preferences.
What support is provided?
RWAV handles travel, accommodation, and coordination. You’ll be fully supported every step of the way.
1. Let’s Chat
A member of the RWAV Outreach team will be in touch to learn more about you – your experience, interests, availability, and preferred locations. We’ll also share everything you need to know about the Outreach ENT program.
We’re here to make your locum experience smooth and impactful. Here’s what to expect once you submit your Expression of Interest:
2. Find the Right Match
If you’re eligible and ready to get started, we’ll match you with a regional or First Nations health service in need. You’ll then be invited to a virtual meet-and-greet with the host organisation to connect and ask questions.
3. Confirm the Details
Once you and the host organisation are both keen to proceed, RWAV will provide a funding agreement to support your visit – covering travel, accommodation and your agreed rate.
4. Make a Real Impact
Travel to your matched community, complete your visit and submit a brief report. Once approved, your visit payment will be processed by RWAV.
“For many specialties like ENT surgery it’s perfectly feasible for us to combine a … metro role with a contribution to a regional centre.”
“The patients you see are so grateful. It’s such a pleasant day.”
“You can change the trajectory of their lives with a 10-15 minute surgery.”
